In later winter/early spring, the gorse makes this landscape burst into yellow life as the gorse awakens. During the summer, the heathers take their turn. Autumn brings deep purples and browns, leading to the barren landscape of winter.
While you may think it’s safe to walk the dog (from the car park) off the lead, there are some pretty impressive drops and loose edges: pooch might benefit from staying on the lead for these bits.
Go as the sun sets and you’ll get some spectacular colours. How to capture the sheer scale of the place though … that’s the challenge!
